South Cheshire ARS will be active from Apedale Valley Light Railway in Newcastle-under-Lyme for the annual 2017 ROTA using callsign GB2AVR (Apedale Valley Railway).
Due to be held on Saturday and Sunday the 23/24th of September, this will be the first ROTA station to be based at the railway. We will be active on HF and VHF on the Saturday only. All at South Cheshire ARS are extremely grateful to Simon and the team at AVLR for allowing us to operate over the weekend.
The railway will be running it's usual Diesel train service every half an hour from 11:30 to 16:00 on Saturday so why not come along, tickets are £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for children under 16. Family tickets are available for £6 and children under 3 travel for free.
